JAN LEDBETTER: The Maya Women of Chichicastenango will be on display from September 11 through October 17, 2015 featuringan assortment of new work by this highly respected artist.
Award winning artist Jan Ledbetter, AWS. NWS. is a workshop instructor, teacher, and juror and received her Master of Fine Arts from Syracuse University. She has been awarded or earned Signature Memberships in all of the top watercolor societies including the prestigious American Water- color Society and National Watercolor Society. Her paintings have been juried into many important national and international exhibitions such as the China National Watercolor Society Small
Works Exhibition 2015 – 2016 and the Shenzhen International Watercolor Biennial Exhibition 2013-2014. Travels throughout Central and South America and giving workshops in Ecuador (2010) and Guatemala (2009 and 2010) have greatly influenced her subject matter, and she has created many paintings from that experience. “This show will feature many of the works that have come out of her experiences in Central and South America” says gallery owner Fred Miller. "Jan has cre-ated many award winning paintings in this series and we will be showing many fine examples of her creativetalent."
