Celebrate the Summer Solstice with a Picnic With The Local Artists of Prince George Art & Frame

The Prince George family of artists is getting together to celebrate the beginning of summer with a picnic to which you are invited. We will gather here on Saturday, June 25, 2016 from 1-4pm and snack on picnic fare together. There will be artists painting, drawing, printing, sculpting, and potting. Many of your favorite artists will be available to discuss their work and your interests. Jan Ledbetter will be drawing in pen and ink and her creation will be the prize in a raffle. Monti Sikes and Karen Schwartz plan to do life drawing of volunteer models, and Fran Jones, and Bonnie Coyle will be painting a floral still life. Hank Mook will be demonstrating his papier maché sculpting techniques and Karen Podd will be painting on her pottery plates. Paula Koz will be demonstrating her block printing techniques. I also plan to be demonstrating my printing processes in giclee and photography.

Please plan to join us for this little celebration of our love of art and craft on Saturday, June 25th from 1-4pm. I promise a good time and light snacking. We had great fun last year with our Paris Picnic and expect this event to be as much fun for all.

About Prince George Art & Frame

Prince George Art & FramePrince George Art & Frame is both a fine art gallery and a fine custom picture framer. Click here for map!

Our gallery has the best selection of local, original art in town and features changing shows by guest artists. Williamsburg has many fine artists, and we represent the best in a variety of mediums and styles from traditional watercolors, contemporary scenes and abstracts in oil, acrylics and water media. We are, simply, the best source for local original art in Williamsburg. We have been honored to win “Best Art Gallery” two years running in a local survey.

Our custom framing department is Williamsburg’s favorite place to shop for picture framing. Our frames enhance the art in many local homes, museums, offices, restaurants, and health-care facilities. With over 3,000 different frame samples from which to choose, we can truly find the right frame for any art project from old master drawing to contemporary abstract painting. We have also been honored to win “Best Picture Framer” in the annual local survey.

Simply put, Prince George Art & Frame is the best place in town to shop for local original art and quality custom framing of your art.
